The members own The Cypress. The developer is a limited partnership and the officers of the general partner, The Cypress, Inc. are long-time residents of Hilton Head. All the common facilities, including the clubhouse and health center, were deeded over to the Owners Association debt-free in 1992. The community remains debt free and operates on a not-for-profit basis.
